Ventilated Gauntlet Gloves
Goatskin palms, long ventilated gauntlets, enough dexterity to still work a latch.

Goatskin is the usual choice because it is thin enough to feel what you are doing and dense enough that a sting does not reach through. The gauntlet runs to mid-forearm with an elastic cuff at each end, closing the gap that most stings exploit — the wrist, where a short glove meets a sleeve.
Specification
| Palm | Goatskin |
|---|---|
| Gauntlet | Ventilated cotton, 32cm |
| Cuffs | Elastic at wrist and upper arm |
| Dexterity | Rated for latch and frame work |
| Washing | Hand wash, air dry away from heat |
Using it properly
- Overlap the gauntlet outside the suit sleeve, not inside
- Replace when the palm goes shiny — that is the leather thinning
- Wash after any sting: alarm pheromone stays on the leather
Before you use any of this on a nest: read
when to call a professional. Protective equipment reduces risk. It
does not remove it, and it is no help at all to someone with a sting allergy.
